Over the July 4th weekend, I was invited to attend the Yankees vs Rays game at Tropicana Field in Tampa. I had never been to the stadium as was very interested to check it out and of course tailgate. We left Orlando around 10:30 in the morning and headed on down. When we got there the parking was free cause we were so early for the game and there was tons of available shaded parking areas. We set the two cars up back to back so that we could give ourselves a little area to house the table for the food, chairs, coolers and our grill. Soon after we set up we started grilling out - and exploring the other camps of tailgaters around us.
Once into the park we watched the first few innings and decided it was time to walk around and explore.
After our Ray tank experience we did the entire tour of the building - and boy do they have a ton to look at and explore!!!
Taking your kids with you - no problem - they have an entire area just for them to hang out!!!!
If you enjoy baseball or are looking for something different to do - check it out!!!!

Tropicana Field is one of the most kid-friendly ballparks in baseball, and with the prices of tickets and parking it's a heck of a lot cheaper than a day at Disneyworld. I think the Rays ought to use that as a selling point! Nice shots.
ReplyDeletethank you so much for your input - we had a great time - our tickets were $20 and everything seemed very affordable, I would definitely go back!!!
DeleteThis is located in St. Petersburg, not Tampa. Big difference.
DeleteI updated the city, thank you
