I really enjoy doing things with my family on the weekends. When we first moved down here and I looked up "things to do in Orlando" in google I always got the same results - Disney, Universal, Gatorland, Sea World. There is so much more to do and see in Florida that is "Unknown" to those who visit and to even those that live here. I wanted to help others find things to do with their families so that they can create memories that they could look back on for years to come.

Ferndale Preserve - Clermont/Ferndale, Fl
One day on a drive Duane and I came across a nice little area park called Ferndale Preserve. It is off County Road 455 where Clermont and Ferndale intersect. It had a really nice playground and covered picnic area and then had a really nice area to hike in with trails for both horses and people.
Lake County has some information on the park and its hours here - http://www.lakecountyfl.gov/departments/public_resources/parks/ferndale_preserve.aspx
