Tibet-Butler Preserve - Windermere, FL

Not to far from where we live is the Tibet-Butler Preserve, a nice place to take a stroll through some of the indigenous plants and wildlife of Florida.  The other day Duane and I had a few hours to kill so we decided to drive over and take a walk.  Unfortunately the area near the lake was blocked off so I will have to post pics of this area at a later time.  If you need a few hours away from the hectic pace of life, take some time and stroll through the Tibet-Butler Preserve.  They are open Wednesday to Sunday 8am to 6pm. 8777 State Road 535, Orlando 32836.

Miracle Mile Raceway - Ocoee, FL

We received a flyer in the mail to come check out slot car racing so we decided to give it a try.  It is on the corner of McGuire and 50 in Ocoee, FL in the Old Time Pottery parking lot.  I have never been to slot car racing before so I had no idea what to expect.  The prices are pretty inexpensive and driving the cars becomes very addicting.  We paid $5 for 15 minutes and we were hooked, it was like for the next 15 minutes or so the only thing you cared about was what was going on with your car.  Bring your kids out and enjoy the fun of slot car racing - http://www.miraclemileraceways.com/
