For Cody's 10th birthday he wanted to go camping because he had never been, so Duane suggested Lake Louisa State Park (http://www.floridastateparks.org/lakelouisa/default.cfm). The prices were very affordable and from the research that I did it looked like there was much to do and see. Saturday we left and arrived at the park. There were many options for us to choose from. They had tent sites that were close to the facilities, with electric and fire rings and then they also had more primative areas that were completely in the forest. We choose the one close to the facilites as we had not prepared for a completely solitary camping adventure. After we set up the site, we decided to look around the park. We drove towards the water and found a spot to pull off onto and went hiking through the woods. There were tons of wildlife and different types of flora around. We ended up walking for about an hour and a half and went back to the car. By then the sun was setting so we went back to our site and grilled out some burgers and mac n cheeze and of course we made smores for dinner.
The next day we went to the swimming hole and there were not to many people around. It was very relaxing and peaceful. Cody swam and Duane and I relaxed on the beach and watched.
